The Via Christi Society is a Public Association, which aspires to become a clerical Society of Apostolic Life of Diocesan Right. By the bond of promise, the members of the clerical Society undertake the observance of the evangelical counsels of perfect chastity in celibacy, apostolic obedience, and simplicity of life in imitation of Christ. The members strive for the perfection of charity in the service of God’s kingdom through living the fraternal life in community.

The general purpose of the Society is the daily sanctification of the members through prayer in an intimate union with our Blessed Lord Jesus Christ, the offering of our daily works as sacrifice to God, and the joyful proclamation of the gospel as Christ did.
